Structural Equation Modeling
To my knowledge, these are the only structural equation software packages being offered for the Macintosh:
There are also Proc CALIS and Proc PLS packages based on the orphaned SAS for Macintosh.
Note that regression and things like correlation (covariance) calculation are a subset of what a typical SEM package does, so these can be used for some of the same jobs for which you would buy a regression package.
Mac OS X, Linux, many other versions
Current version: 1.55 (parity)
Mx is a very cross-platform package that even has an on-line and Unix server version; it is written by Michael Neal. While there is a graphic user interface for Windows, the writer recommends doing a server installation to allow for a graphic interface. (Thanks, Stephen J. Read).
EQS was developed by Peter Bentler but is now distributed by MVSoft. In the Windows and “Classic” Macintosh versions, it includes a graphical front-end. On OS X, it runs in Terminal in command-line mode. The company’s web site includes a lot of information about EQS, including free downloadable demo versions for Power Macintosh and Windows platforms. In Europe, EQS is distributed by ProGamma.
“feedbackloop” sent us MVSoft’s note on compatibility (edited for space):
...we have discontinued sales of EQS for Mac. EQS 6 for Mac UNIX is currently available and will work on any Mac with OS X, however, only in UNIX mode. This is text- and command-oriented. To use EQS 6 for Mac UNIX, you must enter the Terminal. After downloading EQS 6 for Mac UNIX, you must run a setup program to create an UNIX script called "eqs". This "eqs" script requires you to enter the EQS input model file name, output file name, etc. then submit the job to your Mac UNIX system. When the job is complete, you must use a text editor or a word processor program to open and review the EQS output file.

LISREL ("LInear Structural RELations") was developed by Karl Jöreskog and Dag Sörbom; for many years, LISREL was synonymous with structural equation modeling.
The software has been improved through a series of revisons and is currently in version 8. Since version 7, it has been supplemented by PRELIS, a front-end pre-processor designed to make developing models easier. The standard reference is: LISREL 8: Structural equation modeling with the SIMPLIS command language. Scientific Software International, Inc.; Chicago, IL, US; Lawrence Erlbaum Associates, Inc; Hillsdale, NJ, US, 1993. there are many other books on LISREL available. The software is distributed in different versions by several publishers, including SSI in the US and ProGAMMA in Europe.
Versions Available: PowerPC for Mac OS 9, X
Current Release: 1.5

R is a general purpose open source statistics package. See the separate page on R for the Mac. There are two add-on packages that do SEM analysis:
